Donate Now: Ways to Contribute Financially

Donate Now

You can make a difference in the community by making a donation to the Oregon Public Library.

If you wish to remember or honor a loved one with your gift, please be sure to include your honoree's information.   Contact Jennifer Endres Way, Library Director, at (608) 835-2322 with any questions.  We are happy to provide you with a receipt of your contribution for tax purposes.

Your contribution can be general in purpose or designated for a specific use such as programming or collection items. All gifts which do not specify a purpose may be used for our new library building fund and will receive recognition at the appropriate level.

Planned Giving

We hope you will consider the Oregon Public Library in your estate plan.  This is one method of giving that can share your love of the library in a meaningful way while providing many benefits to you as a donor.  If you are interested in learning more, please contact Jennifer Endres Way, Library Director at (608) 835-2322 to discuss this opportunity.

We also encourage you to talk to your tax or estate planning professional about how a gift in your estate plan can be made in a way that protects you and/or your heirs while maximizing the benefits of your estate.  Selecting the library as a beneficiary for your life insurance or IRA account are other examples of ways in which you can support the library in a special way.  In that regard, your financial and legal advisors may find it helpful to know that our legal name is Oregon Public Library (Oregon, WI), tax ID #39-6006336.

Endowment Fund

Did you know that the Oregon Public Library has an Endowment Fund through the Madison Community Foundation that serves as our long term savings account? This permanent fund, in which your gift is invested, grows over time. The principal remains in the fund, with the interest providing income to the library for years to come.  It is a way for people who love the library to give a monetary gift and create a legacy for the future. Funds will be used to enhance our offerings of innovative programs, performances, lectures, collections, and new technologies for all ages.
